They are best known for building large mounds or nests on the ground made of leaf litter. Watch out if they nest in your garden, they will relandscape the whole backyard. Another favourite haunt of bush turkeys is the picnic area, where they will boldly steal food from bins and even picnic tables! What an iconic Aussie larrikin.
